Young Vendredi is traversing the Sahara all alone with the aim of reaching Morocco, where he wants to fulfil his dream of joining the circus. On his way, he meets an old man who is also travelling alone. He wants to attend his granddaughter’s wedding but has lost his camel. Together, the pair continue on their journey through the deserted wasteland. After their initial mistrust, they develop a special relationship with one another. When the old man falls ill, Vendredi takes care of him. But one day, he finds himself in a circus that is very different to the one he had dreamed of…
