In rural areas of Kenya, elderly people are continually being branded as witches, excluded from family life, attacked, and even killed. These are usually villagers who have refused to sell their land to investors that want to use it to extract oil or other raw materials.

The family of the young musician Kaladze is in a similar situation, and disputes within the family threaten his grandmother’s safety. Kaladze visits her to understand the reasons behind the ‘witch’ phenomenon and to document it on camera.
