TRUCK MAMA
Filmforum Ludwig Ticketshop
Eva is a long-haul truck driver in Kenya – a profession still largely considered a male domain. As a single mother of two, she navigates dusty highways, family expectations, and her desire for independence. Behind the wheel, she finds more than a job: dignity, freedom, and the chance to forge her own path. While transporting goods along dangerous routes stretching as far as Sudan, she stays connected to her children by phone and struggles daily to balance care and self-determination. TRUCK MAMA paints a nuanced portrait of a courageous woman who stands her ground against societal expectations.
