Beatriz de Medeiros Silva is a Camões I.P. lecturer at the Portuguese-Brazilian Institute of the University of Cologne. She is also a lecturer of Portuguese language and Lusophone literature and films with a focus on Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa as well as Portugal. Since 2018, she has supported the curation of films from Angola, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe and Cape Verde, as well as from the diaspora, especially Portugal and Brazil for AFFK. In 2023, the Lusophone programme was created together with Anna Plum, Leilah Vasconcelos and Katja Krause.
