Amadou catches small fish in the lake near Dakar. He puts them into thrown-away bottles to make aquariums.
The first short films come from the series LE TRÉSOR DES POUBELLES by Samba Felix Ndiaye, one of West Africa’s most important cineastas. They portray people who eke out a living by repurposing rubbish and create new everyday objects using their vivid imaginations – using glass bottles and water in AQUA, and using old tar barrels in LES MALLES.
