Hasna and her little sister roam the streets of Paris looking to escape their misery. Neglected by their mother, they are sent to stay with different foster families and Hasna loses the person closest to her. Based on a true story, Dinar Amer tells the tale of a woman on the margins of French society. Through Hasna, she explores the complexity of our search for identity and how we are perceived by others, while addressing the largely-ignored subject of how our mental health is a factor in radicalisation. TU ME RESSEMBLES smoothly moves between fiction and social documentary and invites us to broaden our perspectives.
