CONSTELAÇÕES DO EQUADOR
Filmforum Ludwig Ticketshop
In CONSTELAÇÕES DO EQUADOR, São Toméan director Silas Tiny traces testimonies and memories of the airlift between Biafra and São Tomé during the Biafra War. The film sheds light on the suffering of the children who were threatened with starvation and evacuated to São Tomé, and it portrays how humanitarian aid and colonialism, liberation movements and solidarity all weave together. The accounts of nurses and military personnel alongside historical documents show the connection between the two countries and how this time has left its mark on São Tomé.
